Ok, I swore I would not edit these yet, because I have some other things that need to be edited first, but...I'm a liar! Well, not technically, it''s not like I edited the whole session, just 3 little pics!

i have been begging people to let me take maternity pics. the last ones I did were over a year ago, and my work has come so far since then. Well, I finally roped my beautiful Sister in law into being my model! Yay!!

I promise I will be posting some of the more "traditional" pictures of her later, but for now the fun ones are what I will be sharing.

Just in case you are wondering, our little nephew should be here any day now!!

Sheesh! Summer has been busy in this household. House work, garden, been outside playing with the kiddo as much as possible, a wedding here and there. I have hardly had time to update my blog! So enjoy a quick little update of a recent engagement session, and a brother/sister session (same pic of the gal twice, but I just could not decide B&W or color!) Blanton babies!!

Warning! Cute kiddos ahead! Meet my adorable niece and nephew. I know, I know, they are cute!! I had a hard time picking a few to post on my blog. In fact little Miss A had a whole different outfit we photographed her in, which was darling, I just ran out of room to post those pictures! I did end up adding a close up of her in her little hat though.

My girl and her Puppy | Stanford KY lifestyle photographer

After finally getting pictures of Brody the other day ( I thought I would try to get a good picture of Lilly with her constant companion "Puppy." He has been attached to her hip since she was 9 months old, and has helped her through the ER a few times.

Today, little Lilly was sick. Poor little gal must have a stomach virus of some sort. So her and Puppy hung out on the couch or in her bed all day. It was a good chance for getting pictures of what Puppy does best! Enjoy!

Brody love!!

Stop what you are doing right now, and stare in shock! Yes, that is Brody, my sweet little 2 year old. You know, the one I can never get pictures of?

I put on my brave suit and headed out with him this morning, bribing big sister with a sucker so she would stay out of the pictures. One thing about Brody, he is not a huge fan of Mommy snapping pictures of him. He will look up, down, anywhere but at me. I pulled all the tricks, and the only thing that worked was when I pretended to cry, hence the big laugh in the first image.

When I first looked at these pictures I was not thrilled. Then I was reminded that maybe my expectations of myself as a photographer, and my expectations of my newly 2 year old were a little high. I decided to step back and look at these as "Mommy" not as "the photographer" and I fell in love with the pictures shown here. So, enjoy the pictures of my sweet baby boy!

This little guy came in with his big sis this week. It did not take much to get smiles out of him! Just one mention of the squirrels in the backyard, and he was ready to go! I am loving his style!
